The 15:17 To Paris (2018) - Movie Review
The plot: On an afternoon train from Amsterdam to Paris,
U.S. soldiers Spencer Stone, Anthony Sadler and Alek Skarlatos, along with their
best friend Anthony Sadler, encounter a terrorist ready to kill everyone
on-board. As they get ready to take him down, Spencer recollects what led him
to this moment, from his school days to his military training to the brief
instances before this very moment that would make him and his friends into
heroes.

War Machine (2017) - Movie Review
The plot: With the U.S. government really wanting to put an
end to their military campaign in Afghanistan, they send in renowned general
Glen McMahon (Brad Pitt) to lead the charge and, more importantly, prepare an
assessment on how to resolve the matter. However, it seems that McMahon doesn’t
want the troops to leave before the job is done, and so sets out to “win” the
War On Terror. Everyone outside of his main platoon look at him aghast that a
single person can get so much wrong in so little time.

Jack Reacher: Never Go Back (2016) - Movie Review
Jack Reacher, as far as I’m concerned, is one of the few
recent action films that I would consider to be a genuine classic. A marked
departure from the hyper-masculine and quite over-the-top action films that
have become the norm of late, it made its mark with the titular rogue military
genius as the main character, surrounded by good actors, better writing and a
sense for action that is incredibly brutal and hard-hitting. Oh, and being the
only good film Jai Courtney was attached to for many years afterwards probably
helped. Well, after writer/director Christopher McQuarrie and Tom Cruise went
from that film to making the latest iteration in the Mission: Impossible franchise, director Edward Zwick has set up a sequel to the film that I hold in
quite high regard. I know that I’ve made it a point of directly comparing
sequels/continuations of older films to said older film… and this is going to
be much the same, so get used to it.
